there’s something really interesting in this passage that I wanted to point out
Trelawney assumes that Harry was born in midwinter because of his “dark hair” and “mean stature” and “tragic losses so young in life”
Tom Riddle was born in midwinter, is describe in CoS as resembling Harry, and his mother died right after his birth
Harry has a piece of Voldemort’s soul in him
that’s why Trelawney made that assumption
I pointed this out in my Harry Potter class today and everyone started yelling and about five people told me to go to hell
this was so confusing when i first read it because i’m australian and in australia july IS midwinter
but hold on HARRY POTTER CLASS?
The most surreal thing about Fright Night is that David Tennant’s mannerisms don’t actually change that much, so it’s like watching Ten on a bender. Or maybe someone activated the ‘foul-mouthed bisexual painted manwhore’ setting on the chameleon arch.

I can never get enough Winchester code words. Also, being from the pacific northwest, my first reaction was “what the hell is a Poughkeepsie?”
I had to google it. Apparently it’s a city in New York.
What the hell happened in Poughkeepsie?
I love when we heard their code words. Like funky town. Or how if they get separated, to go to the first motel in the phone book. Can we have more Winchester secrets, please?
Winchester Secrets We Currently Know:
- Poughkeepsie: Drop everythign and run
- Funky Town: There is a gun at my head.
- If they get separated, go to the first motel in the phonebook
- Five-O: I’ve been caught, get the Hell out of here
- 11-2-83: The combination to the compartment in Baby.
"Somethings stuck to my shoe" mean you’re being followed
I don’t know what they’re laughing about but I do know we’re all about to die.
